The mountains and coastal areas of Victoria paired with friendship and time were the key drivers behind Melbourne band Auto Luna’s new EP 'Love & Numbers' out through Little Goose Records.

Auto Luna comprises pianist Josh Cohen, drummer Andy Reed, bassist Pat Moevasa-Sili and songwriter and guitarist Dave Havea. These four musicians from seemingly disparate personal and musical backgrounds began conducting experiments in small rehearsal spaces, an exercise that quickly evolved into steadfast friendships, solidified by a shared love of artists such as Elbow, Radiohead, Beck and Father John Misty.

Despite other bands, projects and life events taking focus at times, Auto Luna continued to cultivate a collection of songs that would give voice to the unique sounds and talents of each member. The resultant debut EP ‘Love & Numbers' is an evocative and atmospheric collection that blurs genre lines informed by the band’s warmth, comfort and familiarity as friends and musicians. 'Love & Numbers' is a powerful and vulnerable debut, a considered yet wild offering that demands multiple listens to unfurl each nuanced layer.
